An exhibition of paintings entitled "Slovak Naïve Art in Serbia" was staged at UN Headquarters in New York by Permanent Missions of Serbia and Slovakia to the United Nations and opened by Permanent Representatives of the two countries, Ambassadors Milan Milanovic and Michal Mlynár, on 21 May.
President of the UN General Assembly Miroslav Lajčak and UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Alison Smale attended the opening as guests of honour and made statements, as did Pavel Babka, Director of the Babka Foundation from Kovačica. Addressing the guests, they noted that the exhibition was a good example of cultural interconnectivity. The exhibition is on display at UN Headquarters until 25 May. |
